This unique event connects academia, entrepreneurs and investors in the Meuse–Rhine Euroregion working in digital health and wearables. The goal is to foster networking and matchmaking, as well as to inspire researchers who are looking to translate their academic interest into business ventures.
The main event comprises a startup investment session, in which selected startups from the Meuse–Rhine Euroregion will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to an investor panel specialized in digital health and wearables. Matchmaking between startups and knowledge institutions will be facilitated. In the second part of the program, a panel will discuss the journey to academic entrepreneurship, opportunities and challenges, including scientists’ personal experiences and investors’ point of view.
Before the main event, in a so-called preparation day, the selected startups are invited to participate in a coaching session. A workshop on storytelling for academic entrepreneurship will close the preparation day.
