On November 22nd the Euregio Chambers Meuse-Rhine and the digitalHUB Aachen host the “Innovation Day” with focus on the topic “Usability – Making things simple and elegant to use”. The event takes place from 3 to 6 p.m. in the DIGITAL CHURCH (Jülicher Straße 72a) in Aachen.
About the event: Even before the surprising success of Apple’s iPhone, “usability” – which means the quality of software and devices to be simple and elegant to use – , has become a widely acknowledged factor for market success, customer satisfaction and brand loyalty – of everything from in-house IT solutions to consumer products. In this talk, guests learn the ten golden rules to help judge and improve usability, whether you are working on your own software project or just buying a new radio alarm clock. They’ll learn why IT folks belong to the species “homo logicus”, and how to expand your understanding of software quality to include usability. Concrete examples, from unusable hotel hair dryers to horrific database masks, illustrate the usability effect. Furthermore the partners will wrap up with a first look at how to integrate usability into your product development process.
The “Innovation Day” will be held in English. Participation costs are 80,00 Euro plus 19 percent VAT per person. For further information and for registration please click on the calender of events: Innovation Day
